There are few things better than getting settled down with a brew, or tipple of your choice, just before Christmas along with the monkeys and having a good old sing along while they get giddy and scared by something wonderful. This is a tradition I have followed with all three monkeys and this year is no exception.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Tim Burton\u2019s Christmas classic hits you smack in the face with the tunes and keeps them coming. The classic tale of Jack Skellington – the Pumpkin King of Halloween, at the top of his game, bored of the routine of Halloween and all of its trappings. All the praise and adoration of the Halloween community no longer fills him with pride – its all too easy and he yearns for a new challenge, something to replace the monotony. <\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n His discovery of Christmas and all the festive wonder after all the boredom makes for a very alternate Christmas after jack settles on the plan to kidnap Santa and make Christmas his own, with some misunderstanding and inspiration taken from Halloween.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n It\u2019s a laugh a minute and the songs – including \u201cKidnap the Sandy Claws\u201d from a soundtrack created by Danny Elfman keep young and old entertained and on the edge of their seats. I still remember the monkeys running around singing \u201cWhat\u2019s This?\u201d from their first experience of the wonder and it really captured their imaginations.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n I won\u2019t spoil the plot too much for those who haven\u2019t seen it yet.
