I like a bit of sparkle. It may be the fact that I’m a pixie, my inner child is a princess\/unicorn\/mermaid or the fact that I started going out in the 90’s and smearing your face was the thing to do. This natural love for glitter gets stronger at Christmas but as joy-giving as glitter is, it’s terrible for the environment and that does not increase the fizziness of the season. Glitter is a microplastic which means it gets into the water supply and causes havoc in our oceans.<\/p>\n

There are other options. You can get ethical, vegan, biodegradable\u00a0glitter. Isn’t it heavenly the people find ways to not harm the planet while adding sparkle?<\/p>\n

Wild Glitter<\/a> have a great range that you can use for crafts or a bit of self-decoration if the spirit takes you. You have a choice of fine or chunky. The packaging is either recyclable or biodegradable. I’m a fan of the fine turquoise and chunky aqua. They are just a bit fizzy.<\/p>\n

Moving to ethical glitter and away from microplastic would have a huge positive impact on the environment. And you know glitter looks better if you are glowing with feel-good fizziness that you are doing your own fabulous bit for the planet.<\/p>\n
