What&#8217;s not to love?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I use this boiled cake <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbcgoodfood.com\/recipes\/2607642\/make-and-mature-christmas-cake\">recipe<\/a>. This means that you make the cake in a pan melting the ingredients\u00a0together. That takes all the hard work out of it.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I am making seven this year and they will be different flavours. I&#8217;ve had requests for brandy, whisky and amaretto. If you are not a fan of the booze you can just use a little fruit juice but the cake won&#8217;t need feeding. I&#8217;ll make six full-size cakes and the final mix will go into individual muffin tins so I have little cakes to eat or give as gifts. Yes, I have turned into the person who makes my own Christmas gifts. I&#8217;m coming to terms with this.
