The weather has turned, the heating is on, I can eat mashed potato and it’s seasonally appropriate. Get in!<\/p>\n

The one downside is that I have really dry skin and it gets worse in cold weather. I am not a woman who can go without body lotion at the best of times but when autumn comes I need to ramp it up because I am not a snake and shedding skin is not the done thing in polite company.<\/p>\n

My usual go-to is Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Deep Moisture Body Lotion<\/a>. It’s cheap, cheerful and does the job brilliantly. I bulk buy which make storage an issue but it’s worth it.<\/p>\n

If I am feeling flush, want to feel cocooned\u00a0in a velvety blanket of lusciousness and smell like a confectioners then it’s Kiehl’s Creme de Corps Soy Milk & Honey Whipped Body Butter<\/a>. The original Creme de Corps is fantastic but it does have a wee “budget supermarket own brand butter” feel and smell about it. The Soy Milk & Honey version smells like Toblerone. What is not to love? It is expensive but a little goes a long way and it’s so very cheering. It reminds me that the best treats are the tiny ones that you use every day.
