I am craving space and solitude. I want a meditation cave\/reading room\/writing space\/drinking hang out and there is nowhere for that in the house. I’ve even thought of using one of the under stairs cupboards as a quiet time nook with a cushioned floor and curtained off. Impractical, I know. Can you imagine?<\/p>\n

I was bemoaning my lack of a personal retreat to my friend Catriona. Her response was simple: get a summer house. I want a summer house, I need more space. I should get a summer house. It will fit in the yard, it can have power, light and heat. I can decorate!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n So now there is measuring, planning and research to do. Not sure how I’m going to get a summer house onto a sloping, terraced yard but I’ll figure it out.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Talking through an issue with a friend can mean you get a solution to something that’s been driving you mad straight away.
