I do not mean to alarm you but it is nearly Christmas. I am so excited I could squeak!
This year we are getting a little more crafty than usual and this weekend we are having a Christmas research and development day. Everyone at Camp Fizzy is getting involved. The beloved is on gift tag design with the mini monkey. Granny Liz is holding a crochet workshop in the living room (I haven’t told her this yet – hi Mum!) and eldest and middlest monkeys will be joining me for baking. We are working on mince pie pinwheels, cheesy stars and turkey and cranberry parcels. The last one is mainly so I can say “canape” a lot as I like to do impressions of Tom Waits in Dracula. Then we are all decorating baubles and making unicorn bark to scoff during Strictly.
If any of the creations work I will let you know but if they are all glorious failures we’ll have had fun. We’ll be covered in paint, glitter, sugar, food colouring and jelly tots and tangled up in yarn but we’ll be smiling and slightly more prepared for Christmas.
