Unplugging

I go on about this because this is what I need to do. This article in the Guardian is really clear about how our phones are designed to be addictive. The idea of an attention economy and the places that leads us to are disturbing. A good read for deciding how you want to use your phone.

Write To The Point by Sam Leith

I’ve started reading this on the power and skill of persuasive writing. Nowhere near as dry a subject as it sounds. Easy to understand, funny and fascinating. I always knew I read differently on a Kindle to a proper book.

Butter

One tiny ingredient can change a whole meal. I did a huge breakfast yesterday of yoghurt with granola, bacon, cheese, croissants, baguettes, jam and butter. The butter made it. It was M&S’s Cornish butter with sea salt crystals. Heavenly.
