As I write this it’s 7.20pm, the rain is bucketing down, the wind is howling. The curtains have been drawn and candles have been lit. There are brews and biscuits. To top it off there needs to be telly.
I can’t be doing with must watch TV. Way too much pressure to keep up with something and love it. I’d rather discover something five years later when no one cares if you don’t adore it.
What I want is something I know and love. I want that comforting feeling of knowing what happens next even if what I am watching isn’t cosy family viewing. I also like introducing things I love to the beloved.
This autumn I am going for a trio of monsters, sport and crime. It’s Supernatural, Friday Night Lights and The Wire. That covers all bases but recommendations gratefully received.
