I love singing. This is not a claim to any talent but I love singing. There is something liberating about bursting into song.

Luckily my limited talent is paired with a complete lack of shame so I will do show tunes at my desk, rock classics over breakfast and a little light opera while drying the dishes.

I don’t do karaoke unless my reason is seriously impaired by drink but I will join in heartily around a pub table. I have put years of research into this and Walking in Memphis by Marc Cohen is the best song for this. It’s in a low enough register so most people can join in. If you like to show off (me!) it has enough twiddly bits. If you are shy when the choir kicks in you can join in. It also holds up well to foot tapping and clicking along.
