I have a history with shoes. My Mum still has my first shoes (Clarks Mary Janes in navy, I was rocking a look from the cradle). In my power dressing past it was bright suede heels. I wish my iridescent rainbow snakeskin cowboy boots survived ‘that’ night out. I have too many trainers and a good quirky brogue makes me beam.
Shoes, however, do not like me. I have mini feet which are delicate. Everything gives me blisters. Everything. It has always been thus and I still remember the operatic telling off I got when I was 9 and did the church Rose Queen walk barefoot. (I was wearing red shorts, a red maribou trimmed tunic and a red hat with a giant white plume. If that doesn’t make it memorable nothing will.)
Summer is challenging. More straps = more blisters. My feet want freedom. I’ve tried them all but this year magic has happened. Enter the Moses sandal from Seasalt Cornwall.
They are gorgeous! They are comfortable, washable, smell delightful and no blisters. I have them in Fuji but I will be getting more. More I tell you.
