At Camp Fizzy we all pitch in so Lady Cargers has been working her way through the Chrimbo Radio Times to let you know when the good stuff is on. Isn’t she good? I know we can Netflix and catch up our way through most of it but turning on the telly and find a treat is a wee moment of joy.
We kick off Christmas Eve with Bugsy Malone at 11.35 am on ITV3. Pray for my husband who will have the entire thing sung at him by me. In the evening The Muppet Christmas Carol at 6.30 pm on Channel 4. On E4 it’s Miracle On 34th Street with Richard Attenborough at 8 pm. If you want the original that’s on More4 on Christmas Day at 6 pm.
Christmas Day is a goldmine but I’m sounding the telly klaxon on Channel 4 giving us The Snowman (2.45pm), Scrooged (2.35pm) and Home Alone (5.50pm).
I’ll be watching Doctor Who at 5.30pm on BBC One. Goodbye Mr Capaldi, I will always love you. The opera is on BBC Four this year and it’s La Bohème at 7pm. They call her Mimi and she’s got cold hands. It’s tragic, it’s opulent, it’s brilliant. Finally, for some festive nostalgia, it’s followed by the Two Ronnies Christmas Special from 1972.
There is so much more and I’ll tweet when something takes my eye.
I love a bit of Christmas telly so snuggle up and pass the chocolates.
