My dog has turned interior designer, and he’s good!
The wee mutt developed a phobia about jumping off our Ikea poäng. In the midst of some over-enthusiastic barking, he’s obviously taken a tumble and was a little more reticent about getting off the chair. When I say reticent, I mean he wouldn’t move even for a custard cream. He would just stand there for up to 45 minutes and whine. I tried to create a ramp down for him, tempt him down with cheese, I even become a human landing spot. No joy.
Instead, we moved the chair into the dining room and put our floral couch in the living room. It goes with nothing in the room. We have a navy rug, a big purple couch, a yellow feature wall and a big grey, blue and yellow tree vinyl on the opposite wall. This delicate red silk sofa does not go. It does not.
It looks brilliant. It doesn’t go, it doesn’t make sense but it’s cosy and it works. It is perfect for Camp Fizzy.
I always knew my dog was a genius.
