Happy New Year!
Fizzy is six months old in a few days. The site was created to focus on the good things and it’s done that. I’ve had some lovely comments about what I’ve written that I’m quite chuffed about. The thing with any new project is that there is always the initial enthusiasm, then the self-doubt creeps in and I’ve had a lot of that lately. I’ve been paralysed by what other people are doing, creating and thinking which is always a mistake. Also, I had been beginning to wonder whether there was room for me on the internet.
Let me repeat that so we can all marvel at the idiocy: I wonder whether there is room for me on the internet. Yup, I have just won all the eejit points and I’ve been awarded a snazzy eejit hat.
Rather than dwell in the idiocy, I’ve decided to set out what All About The Fizzy is for 2018. These are my rules for me and I can change them when I like (I’ve recently discovered that I can set my own rules. I hope you all know this but if you don’t, you do now. It’s true, go forth and do whatever you like.) but this is what I am working to so far.
Reading Fizzy should be like a visit to my house and sitting at my kitchen table. You’ll be made a brew, fed, tunes will be played and it will be cosy. Depending on your mood you’ll be comforted, advised or share a laugh. I will get overexcited and fetch books for you to read, films to watch, force you to smell candles, bath oil and fabric conditioner, or find the perfect jumper for you that is hanging around. I will regale you with tales and I will make you look at pictures of my dog.
Tune of the day will continue and there will be a new post every Monday, Wednesday and Friday and a weekend post. There are no comments enabled on the site as I want this to be a really welcoming place. As I can’t control comments without moderating, and I have no desire to be the jackass whisperer, I don’t want to risk snark and nastiness creeping in.
