This is a story of baby brain, holidays and the most positive attitude ever.

My mate Steph is the most positive person ever. Not in the extremely punchable “everything happens for a reason” fake zen way but in the “deal with it, laugh about it and have a drink” way. She has a lovely young family, two dogs, a cat called Kitten and a full on life. She is taking a well-earned family holiday with her husband, son and dogs. I asked her to Instagram the heck out of the holiday. She did and she’s cheered me up no end.

We had photos of the journey, the service station and then there was the post that told us that she’d managed to arrive in Devon, a mere 255 miles from Liverpool, a day early. A day early! A day early with nowhere booked to stay that night for you, your husband, your 15 month old son and two dogs. This is what juggling all this stuff does to you. It gets you to Devon with your loved ones for an extra days holiday.

Yup, you read that right. That’s Steph’s attitude. Yes, she’s there early. Yes, she’s still got baby brain. Yes, she found out while she was having the car pulled out of a ditch by a tractor. I would have been screaming blue murder but she found somewhere to stay, worked out she’d got an extra day in Devon and then had a drink to deal with it.

The woman is an inspiration. Raise a glass to Steph.
