I love Barry Cryer.
He’s been at the heart of British comedy since the 50’s and he worked with everyone. By my reckoning if you grew up with Morecambe & Wise, The Frost Report or Kenny Everett he’s made you laugh. That’s most of us. His influence goes far and wide because of his love for comedy.
I’m Sorry I Haven’t A Clue remains genius and his pairing with Willie Rushton is perfection.
You can find lots of this online but this episode of That Reminds Me is wonderful. The tales are funny, the warmth for his colleagues is evident and he just wants the laughs. I’m always happy to oblige.
