I still fancy Bergerac…
Now I have thoughts about ITV detective drama:
- Morse – yes
- Lewis – no
- Wexford – yes
- Wycliffe – if I must
- Vera – yes
- Endeavour – can I hear a dead horse being flogged?
- Foyle’s War – yawn
But Midsomer Murders. Perfect, bliss, heaven. First, John Nettles is still twinkly after all these years. Then it’s spot a star. And then we have the bizarre offings (writing those must be fun!). Oh, and the sidekicks – #teamtroy or #teamjones. It’s comfy, murderous telly. Grab tea, curl up, watch bloodshed.
I was happy when Neil Dudgeon took over and I love the fact that it’s continuing for a twentieth series. I will always watch it when it’s on ITV3 and I come across it.* Even if I’ve seen it seven times, it’s then panto and I get the fizzy shouting at the screen.
*Like I don’t have a series link, please!
